IBC 2026 has arrived, and we’re bringing a collection of new features and workflow improvements to ShotPut Pro and ShotPut Studio. From storage integrations to drive health monitoring, cascaded copies, and expanded project organization, these updates give media professionals more control over how they move, manage, and protect their content.
Here’s what’s coming to ShotPut at IBC 2026.
Monitor Drive Health with SMART Drive Monitoring
ShotPut Pro and ShotPut Studio now make it easier to keep an eye on the health of your connected drives with built-in S.M.A.R.T Drive Monitoring. When viewing drive details, you can immediately see key information such as drive life and temperature.
You can customize which statistics appear by pinning or unpinning individual stats. Drive health indicators are also color coded, with green representing a healthy state, orange indicating caution, and red highlighting potential issues.
The information is updated in real time, helping you keep track of your storage while working with media. The available information will vary depending on the drive. Some drives provide more SMART data than others, while drives that do not expose SMART information will not display statistics.
You can also view how your drive stats change over time in the Health History page. In this page you can filter by stat and time period to see events, such as job start and finish, logged over time.
Build Cascaded Copies in ShotPut Pro and ShotPut Studio
A cascaded copy allows you to copy media to one destination and then use that destination as the source for a subsequent copy. This can be useful when building workflows that require media to move through multiple storage devices in sequence. In Simple Mode, add a destination to your queue and then drag another destination on top of it. A line will appear between the two destinations, indicating the order in which the copies will occur.
You can also right-click a destination and select Add Cascade. A Finder window will open, allowing you to select another volume or folder.
Projects Come to ShotPut Pro
Projects have already become an important part of ShotPut Studio, and now the same organizational capabilities are coming to ShotPut Pro.
Projects allow you to separate your workflows, presets, settings, and job history between different productions or shoots. Instead of managing everything within one application environment, you can create dedicated projects for individual jobs and keep their associated workflows organized.

Connect Directly to ATOMOSphere with ShotPut Studio
ShotPut Studio can now connect directly to your ATOMOSphere account, making it easier to move media from your local workflow into your ATOMOSphere projects. After connecting your ATOMOSphere account, your available workspaces, projects, and project folders will appear directly within ShotPut Studio. Projects and subfolders can then be added as destinations for a variety of jobs, including Presets and Automations.
This gives teams a more direct path from camera originals to ATOMOSphere without having to manage the upload process separately.
New ELEMENTS Integration for ShotPut Studio
ShotPut Studio now offers a direct connection to your ELEMENTS Server. After entering your server address, username, and password, ShotPut Studio can automatically identify media connected to your ELEMENTS environment. This includes locally connected ELEMENTS locations, such as an ELEMENTS CUBE, as well as S3 locations connected through ELEMENTS.
Once connected, these locations are automatically displayed throughout ShotPut Studio and identified with the ELEMENTS logo, making it easy to recognize your ELEMENTS-connected storage when building workflows.

If your maintenance has expired, updating is easy. Log in to your account, navigate to View Licenses > Update, and choose either a one-time 12-month update plan (Pro $70 | Studio $120) or enroll in automatic updates (Pro $59/year | Studio $99/year) to always stay current.
