About: Alister Chapman is a freelance film maker with over 20 years of experience in many
genres from adventure sports to drama. His speciality is shooting extreme and severe weather.
This takes him all over the world in search of the ultimate storm. To date he has filmed over
58 tornadoes and hurricanes, travelled to the blazing heat of summer deserts and the bitter
cold of the Arctic winter. His work can often be seen on the BBC, National Geographic Channel
and Discovery. Last year he had been filming his travels in 3D using a pair of Sony XDCAM EX
camcorders. In May 2009, he captured a large violent tornado in 3D HD.
