Exporting logs to Avid Media Composer
I'm VERY new to Avid, so could someone please help me out here. I am also using the DEMO version of TEP HD to try it out before I buy.
I have made a couple of logs with TEP HD and exported them as an Avid ALE file. However, when I set up TEP HD, the only choices I was given (for TimeCode Mode) are NTSC Drop Frame, NTSC NON-Drop Frame, Film, and PAL. My Avid projects are set up as 1080/59.97. When I try to import the ALE file, I get the error that states the ALE file is NTSC and the Avid project is NOT NTSC. So, the ALE file will not import. (And NO, I am NOT using a PAL setting in Avid!)
Does the FULL VERSION of TEP HD give more Timecode options? If not, HOW do I import these ALE files into Avid?
I have tried calling the TEP HD office, but no one is answering the phone. If I can get this program to work properly, we may end up buying 6-8 copies of for all of our different computers.
Thanks for any help.

Re: Exporting logs to Avid Media Composer
The ALE exports from TEP have only the 4 traditional choices. We've not expanded the timecode choices because there doesn't appear to be a way to pass linked video information to Avid via a list.
The ALE file type assumes the editor will be batch capturing video from tape.
We are hopeful Avid has addressed this issue with it's newer MC system, but haven't gotten a reply from them with the needed information.
TEPHD can be used to log P2 material and save back into the P2 format, which will import into Avid.
Our offices are on EST. Please leave a message if your call is not picked up (we do call back).
